This is a basement type recording of one of our first original songs. The song is about a superhero who likes to drink and smoke too much.

Recorded live in studio - not mixed or produced. This is a taste of what is to come.

Changed the bass to a simpler (heavier) sounding riff. Took out the runs and added EQ, Compressor to bass and drums.

Pedestrian Traffic Signals Synthesized and Re-Emphasized

This is an interpretation of a North American Aborginal folktale on the Yidaki (a.k.a. Didgeridoo, Didgeridu) recorded live at a performance at Ten Thousand Villages in Vancouver January 4, 2007. If anyone wants the raw sample of just the didge, please let me know and I'll upload it. You are free to download, sample, use this in any other mix. A credit would be nice but not necessary.

Progressive House type 4 on the floor meets Roland Jupiter 8 analog sounds, meets some freaky rock and disco guitar. Created in Cubase SX3 with Reason 2.5 rewired and Sony Soundforge 8.

A 7 minute 'opus' that encompasses brutal electronic beats with moogalicious mono synths, grunge edged guitar, funk bass, jazz break and insane tempo changes at the end with various morphed sounds/samples. I was just experimenting with iDrum from iZotope this morning, nothing too special. Adjusted a bit in Logic.

A cover of Blood Red Summer originally by Coheed and Cambria. Vocals are needed, and would have to be multi-tracked for harmonization.

The mix you are listing to came about thanks to Cristian Paduraru whom produced ALL the tracks used in this mix and handed it to me (as well as other DJs) FREE of charge, with only one stipulation; create a mix.

With this in mind I took Cristian’s tracks and set about creating a mix that was about the music and not about me. A mix that would be a return to a few years ago when DJing was about the music and not about the DJ or the equipment/technology used. How would I achieve this you are wondering? Simple, I just mixed the tracks … yes, that’s it. I selected what I believed to be the 18 best tracks (out of 104 supplied … WOW) from Christian and made a mix; one take one chance! Everything you are listing to is live, if it couldn’t be done in the one hour and twenty-seven minutes that this mix took to create, then it was not done. There were no post-production tricks, no editing after the fact, just a mix!

This is a breaky-techy edit that I made using the two tracks: "Señor Coconut - Smooth Operator (Agoria Remix)" and the original, "Sade - Smooth Operator" and of course, my own production.

I added a bass track. Used a Fender Jazz bass, Toneport UX2 modeling a power pop bass setting (tune pre-amp - 8 * 10 cab). I had some synchronization issues. I definitely played the notes perfectly to time of the music but Ableton Live seemed to automatically warp the recording which made it out of time a bit. The time shift is not linear. Anyone have ideas on how to fix? I can re-record again when fixed. It sounds like the entire bass line wrote to disk a fraction of a beat to late.

Just a Reason idea that morphed into some weird mix/flow/track.
