Mix2r People's Choice Song Contest - Cash prizes for top votes!
From January 1 – Feb 28 2007, we will be tracking votes on audio projects at Mix2r.com. The person with the highest overall ranking, as determined by the number of points displayed on Mix2r.com, at the end of the contest (Feb 28, 2007) will receive $400.00 USD and be featured on the front page of Mix2r.com for the month of March 2007. Second prize will be $225 and third prize will be $125 based on popularity by unique votes. Only registered members can vote (it's free to register) and the judges determination will be final. Contest prohibited where void. Prepare your entry now!
How to enter:
Go to the entry form and let us know that you intend to enter. You may only enter once, and may not change the track you've submitted after you've entered. Make sure you've uploaded the track already, and know its URL before going to the form. The URL will look like http://www.mix2r.com/node/YOUR NODE NUMBER.
The entered song MUST be on Mix2r.com website. You retain all the rights to your material and as owner, you set the license terms.
It may also be nice to introduce yourself on this thread, so that everyone can determine if they want to listen to your track . Sell it!!
How to vote:
Use the little arrow buttons to the left of the audio title. Click the up arrow to raise your score. NOTE: Please don't vote -1 for other people's work.
Rules:
Void where prohibited by law. Don’t cheat (yes – we can track IP addresses). To be eligible, projects must be uploaded by Feb 28, 2007. A contest winner will be announced by March 15, 2007 to give the judges time to review the materials and correlate the number of votes.
No employees of Mix2r.com are eligible to enter, neither are their families.
The Mix2r.com judges decisions are final.

Wow!!! definatly going to give this a shout, i've just uploaded our new Techno mix :) Really funky techno mix, 15 traxx in, it's banging compared to my other stuff, but here's the link for my entry :)!!!

Here is my piece:
Kind of laid back electronica, this piece has a kind of latin-ish vibe. Contains the words "Oops I pulled his finger off" if you listen carefully, hence the title "The Finger Removal Song". Not easy to describe, needs to be heard.
It was a great pleausur to mix your track´s hight quality Electronic Music, from Cristian Paduraru Records.

Here's my submission... minimal techno, sure to please.
UK producer Haus 33 remix features skippy hats , exotic rhythmz and a relentless bassline that grooves it's way through 8 minutes of subtle fx , vocal percussion & house keyz. It's got depth and punch, ideal for the main room on a big sound system.

Here's my entry. This is my 2nd time mixing MP3's, I'm a vinyl junkie...
