22nd Century is in the process of recording a debut CD. We have 7 stub tracks recorded with bass, guitar, drums, vox but need a lead guitarist to put finishing touches on the songs. We are totally on to your ideas and will possibly pay $$ for the right ideas or credit on CD etc.. All options are on the table.

Some of our set is up on Mix2r (some minus vocals):

These are rough mixes and our producer will be tweaking them a lot before we mix down. Specifically, the songs we are looking for a second guitar are Live in Space, 509, Stevie Guide, Sawgrass, Let me Be and Nightmare. The songs Statue, You're not so hard core and Shotgun might be recorded later but haven't made decisions yet.

We re in the Vancouver, Canada Area but if you can record remotely that is okay too.

Re: offer for lead guitarist open to anyone.

BTW - the above offer is open to anyone who plays any instrument. We are specifically looking for a lead guitarist but are open to any ideas for additional parts to the songs going on our CD. If you have ideas, let us know.

Links to the songs

The songs are up here on Mix2r and you can download them then add your lead guitar tracks and re-upload them.

Our producer will listen to them and if he wants to use them will contact you for the *.wav files and make you an $$ offer. We look forward to hearing some ideas.

Cheers

How to upload a derivative of the first song (instructions below

This is awesome - we can't wait to hear it!

Here is how to post it so others can track it and also drive future tracks from it.

1. Go to the home page for the track by clicking on its' title. Just to the left of the title there are 5 hyperlinks (view, edit, derivatives, outline, votes). Note that you have to be logged in to see these menu items.

2. Click on "derivatives". This will take you to the derivative screen where you can upload the modified song and it will be linked to the original. A link will appear on this page entitled "Upload your own derivative of or contribution to this work" Click on that link.

3. Fill out the form and upload your derivative work. Note that you can declare license terms on the comments field such as "all rights reserved" or "free for anyone to use" but these only apply to the changes you uploaded, not the entire song.

Anxiously awaiting.
