Andrew Feenberg is Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Technology in the School of Communication at SFU, where he directs the Applied Communication and Technology Lab. He is the author of several books, including Alternative Modernity (1995) and Questioning Technology (1999).
Matthew Robbins is an accomplished American director (Bingo, Dragonslayer) and screenwriter (Sugarland Express, Mimic, *batteries not included) who has worked with Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, and Vishal Bhardwaj.
Walter Murch is an editor and sound designer who has won Academy Awards for his work on Apocalypse Now and The English Patient in addition to accolades for the Godfather trilogy, Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley and many other films. He has devised many innovations in picture and sound editing; he has written a book on editing, In the Blink of an Eye, and collaborated with Michael Ondaatje on another book, The Conversations.
