I'm new here, not sure how the site works yet, thought I'd start with an upload.

Hey all:

We were recording in our jam space and have mics set up on all of Glen's drums. I used a Shure 57 for ther snare and placed it on the top at about 30 degrees offset, 2-3 cm from the skin on the side. The result is that it sounds "poppy", sort of like hitting a spoon against an empty ice cream bucket. I hear some people use two mics' on the snare (one on top and one on bottom). Is that the reason we are mssing the snare rattles in the recording? I can post the mix if someone wants to try and fix it.

Also - is there any VST plugin that can add in the snare rattle after the fa
